What are the Benefits of Buying a Front Load Washer?
by Guest Post on Mar 29, 2011
Whenever it comes time to purchase a new appliance, you want to make sure that the list of benefits far outweighs the cost of the machine. If the product has enough pros, then this purchasing act becomes more of an investment than an expense. This same rule can be applied when looking for a new washing machine. While the traditional top-loading washer is still one of the most used appliances out there, front load washers are quickly gaining steam because of the list of benefits that they provide to consumers.
One of the main benefits that you will receive when buying front load washers is related to how efficient they are. Four different efficiency benefits come along with purchasing front load washers. The first is that front load washing machines will use less soap than other washers. This means that you will save money on actually purchasing the soap as well as help the environment by not excessively using chemicals that are not biodegradable or environmentally friendly. The next energy-efficient feature of front-load washers is that they spin much faster than other top-loading machines. This high spin speed allows the clothing to release more of its moisture and come out of the cycle much drier than it would be in a traditional washing machine. This allows your dryer to use less energy to completely dry the clothing and this quicker spin cycle in front load washers also helps to regulate the timing of washing and drying clothes so that they are about the same. This can be convenient if you need to do a variety of loads in a single day and don't have the time to travel back and forth incessantly.
Continuing with efficiency, another benefit of front-load washers is that they use much less water to wash the clothes. Some front load washers can use up to half of the amount of common top-loading washers which will help you to conserve water and also save money on your water bills. On that same note, using less water can also help other utilities in the house. If you are washing your delicates or your whites on warm or hot, then the washing machine is going to need to heat all of that water and with front load washers, there is less water to heat up and waste energy on.
Aside from energy benefits, front load washers also provide many other features that can be convenient for consumers. First of all, front load washers are usually much easier on clothing. Traditional washing machines have a part called the agitator. This part will beat the clothes around in the water and can twist up the fabrics and put unnecessary stress on the clothes. In front load washers, the clothes will be cleaned by tumbling in and out of the water, reducing stress. The other way that front load washers can benefit your clothing is that they reduce the drying time. Dryers throw the clothing back and forth to dry them out and can put a strain on the fibers. Reducing this time can help to extend the life of your clothes.
