Do not compromise on comfort
A comfortable chair and an organized desk can serve as a perfect home office. First identify the space and then move on to selecting the right furniture. Depending on the type of work it is best to choose work furniture. Look for high back chair if you are working on a computer. If you are a designer or civil engineer then look for high raised seats to facilitate accessing the work board.
Use wall space
Just like how you decorate your office wall you can follow the same style for home office as well. Use of wall boards or white boards to write motivational slogans or important messages can work wonder. You can also have a planner that can elaborate on your work schedule. White boards can be used to design the flowchart or chalk out promotional plans. Cork boards help when it comes to posting notes and ideas.

Incase there is no scope for natural light in your home office use the right kind of artificial lighting to enhance the work space. See to that too much of lighting does not affect your eyes. Use lights only when necessary. Table lamps can work wonders.
Storage facility
Over a period of time lot of paper accumulates and there is need to organize this paperwork. For this storage facility is required. File cabinet can do wonders.
